And keeping an eye over the whole thing is a huge stone Sphinx – a mythical half-lion, half-human creature.
The mystical Nile
Speaking of world-famous, one of the two longest rivers on the planet runs right through the city – the River Nile.
As you’d expect, there are plenty of opportunities to take advantage of having such an iconic waterway on the doorstep.
You can glide along on a dinner cruise while casting an eye over the riverbank, or enjoy a ride on a felucca – a traditional Egyptian sailboat.
Museums and mummies
Cairo is home to dozens of museums, where you can learn more about everything from Egyptian textiles to the long-abolished monarchy. If you don’t have time to see them all though, the Egyptian Museum is a great place to start. It’s Africa’s largest museum, with more than 100,000 artefacts on display, including Tutankhamun’s gold burial mask.

ITINERARY
Day 1: Cairo to Nairobi & Masai Mara
After an early breakfast and check-out, your driver will be waiting to take you to the airport to catch your flight to Nairobi, Kenya.
Jambo! Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met by our representative who will take you to Wilson airport to catch your flight to Masai Mara. After arrival at Mara, check-in and freshen up, you can choose to take the evening game drive, or take a rest and be ready for the next day.

Day 2, 3 & 4 Masai Mara
Today enjoy full days in the stunning Masai Mara. The stunning and exceptionally wildlife-rich savannah of the Masai Mara is Kenya’s most popular visitor magnet. There is a profusion of all types of wildlife including the Big 5. Two game drives are recommended in a day, one in the early morning and another one in the late afternoon. The game drives are shared.

Day 5: Mara to Amboseli
After an early breakfast and check out, you will be met by your driver who will transfer you to Keekorok Airstrip to catch your flight back to Amboseli. Upon arrival at Amboseli you will meet with your driver who will take you to your camp.

Day 6: Amboseli
Enjoy a full days at this beautiful famous and unique national park at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. You can choose to either do two game drives with one in the morning and another one in the evening.

Day 7: Depart Amboseli to Nairobi to Cairo
After an early breakfast and check out, you will be met by your driver who will transfer you to Amboseli Airstrip to catch your flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival at Nairobi your driver/guide will be waiting to transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your flight to Cairo.
