Amboseli National Park Package embellished with the Masai Mara is one of Kenya’s safari iconic packages.
Amboseli is known as the world`s big-tusked elephants and big cats (lions, and sometimes cheetahs), all set against the backdrop of Mt Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak.
It’s a beautiful, compact park with lots of wildlife, including flamingos and an easy-to-find hyena den.
And there’s real safari magic in the air in the early morning or late afternoon when the clouds often part to reveal Kilimanjaro’s summit.
The Amboseli National Park Wildlife
Amboseli offers great wildlife viewing, and the Big Five except the Rhinos, and leopards are very rare to see, but big herds of elephants reliably move to and from the marshy swamps in the centre of the park.
Buffalo, wildebeest, plains zebra and gazelle are all very common. Lions are the easiest to spot of the big cats, but cheetahs are also possible.
Activities
The main activity in Amboseli is the guided and self-guided game drive, which will take you around the park to look for animals and birds.
Hot-air ballooning is a brilliant alternative. It’s an incredible experience to fly at dawn over the park with Mt Kilimanjaro hopefully free of clouds.
The only place you’re allowed to leave your vehicle is at Observation Hill. Climb it on foot and enjoy a picnic with stunning views.

ITINERARY
Day 1 : Nairobi – Amboseli
Jambo! Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met by our representative to start your drive to Amboseli National Park, located at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive at your chosen lodge/ camp in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Later as the sun sets, you will be transferred back to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 – Amboseli
Enjoy a full day at this beautiful famous and unique national park at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. You can choose to either do two game drives with one in the afternoon – or you can embark on a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch. There is nothing like going on adventure in this picturesque landscape – with the majestic mountain providing the perfect backdrop for a great snap of the impressively large herds of elephants!

Day 3 – Amboseli to Naivasha
After an early breakfast depart for Lake Naivasha via Nairobi arriving in time for a late lunch. The rest of afternoon is at your own leisure. Optional boat rides on the hippo inhabited lake or memorable walks on Crescent Island can be organized.

Day 4: Naivasha to Masai Mara
After an early breakfast, your journey takes you to the Masai Mara, Kenya’s most famous wildlife reserve. The drive from Naivasha takes about 5 hours to the gate, but will allow you to experience the wide open landscape of the Great Rift Valley. Enjoy a first sense of true adventure as you make your way through the park to your chosen camp/lodge. You will arrive in time for lunch, followed by your check in. Thereafter, you will embark on your very first fully-fledged game drive in the Masai Mara in the afternoon!

Day 5: Masai Mara
After an early breakfast and check out, you will be met by your driver who will transfer you to Ol Kiombo Airstrip to catch your flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival at Nairobi your driver/guide will be waiting to either transfer you to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your flight to Kigali

Day 6 : Masai Mara to Nairobi
After an early breakfast at the lodge/camp, bid farewell to the Mara as you start your road trip back to the capital. Drive back through the Great Rift Valley, passing numerous smaller and bigger dormant volcanos along the way. With a picnic lunch on the way you will return to Kenya’s bustling capital city where you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight back home.
